Series consists of materials pertaining to the College's twentieth anniversary celebration in 1989 and 1990. (The festivities began in September 1989.) These include event flyers, a bulletin called "Catch the Action," and a publication called "Twenty Years of Making a Difference." The Public Information Office was responsible for producing these items, while the festivities in general were overseen by the 20th Anniversary Steering Committee.

Douglas College Flyers - 1970s-1990s

File consists of flyers and other promotional materials produced by the Public Information Office. These include, but are not limited to: a program from the opening of the Newton Centre campus (November 1979), materials related to the official opening of the New Westminster campus (March 1983), admissions newsletters, a fall 1986 graduation program, Women's Centre programming (March 1984), and brochures from the Music Department's showcases (1983). This file also includes brochures for programs during the 1971-72 school year and the fall 1982 semester. The 1971-72 brochures are related to counselling services, physical education, fashion design, construction management, continuing education, and accounting. The 1982 brochures are related to criminology, modern languages, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, and the humanities.

These include, but are not limited to, materials related to: a College open house (March 1983), a public lecture series on environment issues in the Lower Mainland (1989), a Lee Maracle speaking event, a guide to PIO services, Arts and Entertainment events (Spring 1988), a faculty "yellow pages" (October 1990), a brochure related to College access for persons with disabilities, and the opening of the Thomas Haney Centre (October 1992).

These include brochures from graduation ceremonies (1976, 1982, 1983, and 1984), invitations to graduation ceremonies (1978-1981 and 1983), a program guide for the Douglas College Foundation's spring 1994 awards ceremony, and a program from the official opening of the Amelia Douglas Gallery in 1992. Also included in this file are a number of flyers advertising various programs, including: Business Management, Fire Science, Chairside Dental Assisting, Accounting, Continuing Education in Dentistry, and more.
