Douglas College Flyers - 1970s-1990s

File consists of flyers and other promotional materials produced by the Public Information Office. These include, but are not limited to: a program from the opening of the Newton Centre campus (November 1979), materials related to the official opening of the New Westminster campus (March 1983), admissions newsletters, a fall 1986 graduation program, Women's Centre programming (March 1984), and brochures from the Music Department's showcases (1983). This file also includes brochures for programs during the 1971-72 school year and the fall 1982 semester. The 1971-72 brochures are related to counselling services, physical education, fashion design, construction management, continuing education, and accounting. The 1982 brochures are related to criminology, modern languages, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, and the humanities.

Some of these include: the Child Care Worker Program, the Retail Merchandising Program, Supervisory Management in Health Care Institutions, credit courses for nurses, Audio-Visual Techniques for Fire/Police Training Officers, Death and Dying, Bacteriology, conversational language courses, Women's Studies courses, and many more. Some of these programs were advertised during the fall 1977 semester but did not take place until winter 1978.

File consists of materials pertaining to community consultant meetings. Community Consultants were College employees who engaged with individuals and civil society groups from the broader community. Records in the file include memoranda, correspondence, meeting agendas, and procedural information from the PIO regarding the creation of brochures, flyers, and posters.
